Good News PM Kisan: Farmers will get Rs 10,000 instead of 6,000! Budget 2021 may be announced

PM Kisan: On February 1, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget for the financial year 2021-22. Its preparations are in the final stage. This time the government has a complete focus on farmers. Due to the three agricultural laws, the government can make several big announcements in the interest of farmers in the budget amid the farmer movement on the border of Delhi. The news is that the annual amount of 6,000 rupees of PM farmer can be increased.

Government can increase the amount of Rs 6,000

1. The central government can increase the installment of 6 thousand rupees under the Kisan Samman Nidhi. In this budget, the farmers have demanded from the government that this amount is insufficient for agriculture and should be increased. The budget estimate (BE) for the financial year 2019-20 was around Rs 1.51 lakh crore, which increased to about Rs 1.54 lakh crore in the next financial year 2020-21.

2. Apart from this, the allocation for rural development has also been increased to Rs 1.44 lakh crore in 2020-21 as compared to about Rs 1.40 lakh crore in 2019-20. Under PM Agricultural Irrigation Scheme, it has been increased from 9682 crore in 2019-20 to Rs 11,127 crore in 2020-21 and from PM 14 thousand crore in 2019-20 under PM Crop Insurance Scheme to Rs 15,695 crore in 2020-21.

Amount can be increased from Rs 6,000 to 10,000

Experts believe that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman may take a decision in her interest in the upcoming budget, with a view to please the farmers who are protesting against the agricultural law. It is also news that the government can increase the amount of Kisan Samman Nidhi from 6 thousand to 10 thousand.

500 rupees per month installment is quite low

The government gives Rs 6,000 a year to farmers, that too in three installments of Rs 2000-2000. That is, farmers get only 500 rupees a month. Farmers say that the amount received under the PM-Kisan scheme is 500 rupees per month, which is quite low. It takes about Rs 3-3.5 thousand to take paddy crop in 1 bigha and about 2-2.5 thousand rupees is spent to take wheat crop. In such a situation, for farmers with more land, six thousand rupees is very less assistance. In such a situation, the amount should be increased so that the expenses can be met.

This scheme was started in December 2018

This scheme was started on 1 December 2018 and under this, the central government sends six thousand rupees annually to the farmers’ account as an installment of two thousand rupees twice a year. All farmers get this benefit. Under this scheme, money is sent to the account during the period April-July, August-November and December-March. According to the information given on the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi website, there are 11.47 crore beneficiaries of this scheme.
