If the central government employees do not choose their option in this regard, then there will be an option of benefits under the old pension scheme for the first 15 years of service. After that you will get the benefit of default option under NPS.

Currently the default option of the old pension scheme is in operation by March 2024 as per these rules, even if the government employee has completed 15 years of service.

What are the rules of CCS regarding disability

According to the CCS rules, if a government employee suffers from a disability due to an injury or illness while on duty and remains in government service despite such disability, then a lump sum compensation of disability pension is paid to the disability element. is.
