In order to collect the information about the vacant posts, the Secretary Basic Education Council has asked all the Basic Education Officers for the information of the selected candidates from April 2017 till now. According to a report by Amar Ujala, if sources are to be believed, a total of more than 70 thousand teachers are to be recruited. This includes the earlier 51 thousand posts and about 22 thousand posts of recruitment of 68500 teachers.
Earlier, the Basic Education Department of UP had told the court that it has about 51,000 posts vacant in council schools. While 22 thousand posts are still to be filled in the recruitment of 68500 teachers. After the order of the court, even after filling some posts out of 68500 recruitment, more than 70 thousand teachers will be recruited.
