Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Wednesday warned people to download a fake app named Co-WIN and share their personal information on it.
new Delhi. Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Wednesday forbade people to download any mobile app named Co-WIN and share their personal information on them. This information was given by a tweet from the government. According to this tweet, it is not the official Co-WIN App of the Central Government. Many apps of similar name have come on Google Play Store, who are asking for your information. There are many apps which have been downloaded more than 10 thousand times. This can cause huge damage to users.

Some apps named “#CoWIN” apparently created by unscrupulous elements to sound similar to upcoming official platform of Government, are on Appstores.
DO NOT download or share personal information on these. #MoHFW Official platform will be adequately publicised on its launch.

The Union Health Ministry tweeted that some of the apps, named Co-WIN, have been made by fraudsters with the same name as the official platform of the upcoming fraud, which are on the App Stores. Do not download them or share personal information on them.

The CoWIN app will be launched soon by the central government for information about the entire process of vaccination. Through this app, Kovid will be able to register for the 19 vaccine for free. The CoWIN app will be absolutely free on Google Play Store and users can download it easily. Currently, the CoWIN app is not yet live on the Google Play Store or any other App Store.
This app needs to be downloaded from Google Playstore before registering on CoWIN. After this, you have to register your name after putting all the necessary information. Identity cards like Aadhar card, PAN card or driving license will be required for registration.
