The benefit of this scheme will be available only to those families whose annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh. Also, the family must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.

Governments across the country are running many schemes for daughters. In this series, the Uttar Pradesh government gives 25 thousand rupees in different installments on the birth of daughters under the Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana. The government’s objective behind this scheme is to eliminate the social evils towards daughters and improve their education and economic condition.

Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, the Uttar Pradesh government provides assistance of Rs 25,000 to every daughter to complete her studies from birth to class 12th. This assistance is given in 6 different installments.

Those born on or after 1 April 2019 get Rs 2000 as a lump sum. Apart from this, girls who have completed their vaccination within one year get Rs 1000 and Rs 2000 after enrollment in the first class. As the girls reach class 6, 9 and 12, they will be given Rs 2,000, 3,000 and 5,000 respectively.

However, the benefit of this scheme will be available only to those families whose annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh. Apart from this, the family must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh and must have a permanent residence certificate of the state. Under this scheme, a family can get benefits for a maximum of two daughters. If twin daughters are born in the family, then they can also get the benefit of the scheme.

If you also want to apply for this scheme, then first of all you have to visit the official website of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana https://mksy.up.gov.in/. After reaching the website, register yourself as a new user. After registration, you will get a user ID, with which you can login again. After logging in, fill the application form and submit it by uploading the required documents.

The necessary documents will be Aadhaar card of the daughter’s guardian, daughter’s birth certificate, residence certificate, income certificate, electricity bill, bank account details, passport size and mobile number.
