The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) on Wednesday advised users to be vigilant with a fraud message that claimed that the government would provide three months free recharge to 10 crore people. According to COAI, no such message has been issued by the government. Also, no such message has been issued by the government and the telecom operators. In such a situation, users should not forward such messages. Also, your family and friends should beware of such messages.

Links related to free recharge lead users to unknown sites from where fraud can be executed. Also your personal information can be stolen. A screenshot has been shared on behalf of COAI. It has been claimed that the government is providing a three-month recharge to Airtel, Jio and Vadafone-Idea (Vi) customers for studying online. This offer can be enjoyed till the end of this month. For this recharge, users are asked to click on a link.

COAI has called such messages fake, which has been seen on social media platforms for the past several days. COAI, calling it a scam, has advised the common people not to click on any such message.
