What is the challenge now?
Numbering resource was allocated in the year 2003 for 750 million telephone connections across the country. Whereas after 21 years, the numbering resource has come under risk. Because network providers are constantly changing their services and due to this the number of connections is also increasing rapidly. The number of telephone subscribers in India is also constantly changing and by March 31, it has increased by about 85 percent.
TRAI has also updated its website regarding this and has asked for advice from everyone. Because after a long time changes are being made in the National Numbering Plan. Advice can also be given in writing. A report has claimed that now the number of mobile numbers can be increased from 10. It can be made from 11 to 13 numbers which can help significantly in identifying the users.
