The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has warned Apple iPhone and iPad users to immediately update their devices to iOS 14.7.1 and iPadOS 14.7.
New Delhi. If you are an Apple user then big news is coming for you. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has warned Apple iPhone and iPad users to immediately update their devices to iOS 14.7.1 and iPadOS 14.7. This has been told by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.
According to CERT-In, Apple users have to update their iPhone and iPad to iOS 14.7.1 and iPadOS 14.7.1 as soon as possible. According to the government, this update for iOS and iPad has security-related flaws that can be exploited by criminals and hackers. This weakness exists in the iMobile FrameBuffer of Apple iOS and iPadOS due to memory corruption issues along with memory handling issues. This alert has been issued for all users of iPhone 6s and above, all models of iPad Pro and iPad Air 2 and later devices, iPad 5th generation, iPad mini 4 and iPod touch.
With iOS 14.7.1 and iPadOS 14.7.1 not updating software, remote hackers can take advantage of this to attack. Apple warned users that it is aware of this report and is taking swift action on the issue. The new iOS 14.7.1 update also fixes an issue where iPhone models with Touch ID cannot unlock the Apple Watch using the Unlock with iPhone feature.
