The Central Government has approved the grant of Non-Productivity Linked Bonus (Ad-hoc Bonus) equivalent to 30 days’ emoluments for 2020-21 to Central Government employees. This benefit will be given to all non-gazetted employees of Group ‘C’ and Group ‘B’ who are not covered under any productivity linked bonus scheme. As per the Ministry of Finance, the limit for calculation of payment of adhoc bonus will be Rs.7000 per month as revised with effect from 01-04-2014.
They will also get bonus
According to the Office Memorandum of the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, payment of ad-hoc bonus under these orders will also be given to eligible employees of Central Para Military Forces and Armed Forces. The benefit of this bonus will also be given to those employees of Union Territories who follow the emoluments pattern of the Central Government and are not covered under any other bonus or ex-gratia scheme.
Bonus will be given on the basis of these conditions
- Only those employees who were in service as on 31-3-2021 and have rendered at least six months continuous service during the year 2020-21 will be entitled for ad-hoc bonus. Proportionate pay will be admissible to eligible employees for the period of continuous service from six months to one full year during the year, the eligibility period being taken with reference to the number of months of service.
- The quantum of ad hoc bonus will be calculated on the basis of average emoluments/calculated ceiling, whichever is lower. To calculate the non-PLB for a day, the average emoluments in a year will be divided by 30.4 (average number of days in the month). Thereafter, the bonus awarded will be multiplied by the number of days.
- Casual Labors who have worked for at least 240 days for each year for 3 years or more in offices beyond 6 days week (3 years in case of offices observing 5 days week in each year or more for 206 days), will be eligible for this non-PLB payment.
