Google Pay has launched the UPI Lite platform. This allows smaller payments to be made and there is no need to repeatedly enter the PIN to pay for daily fares, snacks and cabs. UPI Lite account enables instant online payments with one tap, without the need to enter a PIN.
Google Pay has introduced the UPI Lite platform. This platform has been designed to make small payments. Let us tell you that Paytm and PhonePe had already launched UPI Lite service. UPI Lite is a digital payment service designed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
You will be able to pay up to Rs 200 without entering your PIN.
UPI Lite account will be able to pay up to Rs 200 with a single tap. For this you will not need to enter without PIN. This means that now you will not have to enter your PIN again and again at the grocery store to buy groceries, take snacks and pay for cabs.
Will be able to add 4000 rupees in a day
Google has rolled out UPI Lite, which allows users to make UPI payments without entering a PIN. Money up to Rs 2000 can be added to the UPI Lite account twice a day. Means a maximum of Rs 4000 can be added in a day. Also, instant UPI payment up to Rs 200 can be done at a time.
15 banks will get support
Where have you done UPI payment with UPI Lite? Bank passbook facility is available for this information. Google Pay’s UPI Lite service supports the services of 15 banks.
How to activate google pay lite
- First of all open Google Pay app on mobile.
- Then tap on the profile icon. After this scroll down to the profile page. Where you will see the UPI Lite activation option, tap on it.
- After this you will have to enter some details, after that UPI Lite will be activated.
