Green Field Expressway: 342 KM long expressway will be built between these districts of Rajasthan, check the route of the new highway

Beawar-Bharatpur Greenfield Expressway will be built in Rajasthan, which will be 342 km long. 18 months have been given for the survey. This project will facilitate traffic and reduce travel time.

New Delhi. A greenfield expressway will be built from Beawar to Bharatpur (Beawar-Bharatpur Expressway) in Rajasthan. The Rajasthan government had announced this in the budget 2024. Now after the approval of the DPR of the expressway, the survey work has started. The National Highway Authority of India has been given 18 months to complete the survey. The total length of this greenfield expressway is 342 km. The aim of this project is to facilitate traffic between the two cities and reduce travel time. For this, 3175 hectares of land will be acquired.

The budget will be available after the survey for the construction of the expressway from Beawar to Bharatpur. After this the road construction work will start. It is worth noting that in the state budget last year, the construction of nine greenfield expressways was announced in Rajasthan, which also included the Beawar-Bharatpur Expressway. In this year’s budget too, many announcements have been made regarding state highways, bypass roads, flyovers, elevated roads, ROB, RUB, bridge construction, repair and upgradation of roads.

This will be the route

This expressway will start from NH-58 and will be built till NH-21 of Bharatpur. It will go to Bharatpur via Gulabpura, Kekri, Todaraisingh, Uniara, Tonk, Niwai. Routes will be included in the new highway where there is no connectivity till now. Currently, it takes 7-8 hours to cover a distance of 370 km from Beawar to Bharatpur. After the new expressway is built, this time taken in the journey will be reduced. The green field expressway will be taken out of the cities. All its routes will be interconnected. By being built between less population and empty lands, there will be less turns in it so that the speed of the vehicles remains maintained.

Nine expressways will be built in Rajasthan

In the last budget, it was announced that a total of 9 expressways will be built in Rajasthan. Their total length will be around 2 thousand 756 km. According to the ‘Vision 2047’ of the current BJP government, the government is aiming to complete five of these nine expressways by 2030, whose length is 1,361 km. These include Jaipur-Jodhpur-Pachpadra Expressway, Kotputli-Kishangarh, Jaipur-Bhilwara, Bikaner-Kotputli and Beawar-Bharatpur Jaipur-Jodhpur Expressway.
