After coming to power, the Modi government at the center has been continuously working to tie the country into a shoot. Keeping this in mind, GST was implemented in the entire country on July 1, 2017 under ‘One Nation, One Tax’ i.e. ‘One Nation, One Tax’. Businessmen earning up to 40 lakhs are exempt from GST.
Earlier GST limit was limited to 20 lakh rupees. In such a situation, if a businessman wants to cancel his GST registration, he can surrender and cancel it by going to the GST portal.

Follow these easy steps to register GST
1. To cancel the GST registration, you must first login to the GST official website GST.GOV.IN.
2. After login to GST portal, click on the Services menu. On clicking, the option of Registration will appear in which the application for Cancellation of Registration will have to be selected.
3. Three new options will appear as soon as you select Application for Cancellation of Registration.

4. Select these options given. Fill the complete information for communication in the future. Fill in the information to cancel the registration.
5. Select the registration cancellation and cancellation date and its reason.
6. Go to the Verification tab and verify using EVS or Digital Signature. After this entire process your GST registration will be canceled.
