Cremation of 100 dead bodies in 10 cremation ghats

In both these government hospitals of Vadodara, 350 people died in a week alone. Looking at the register of the crematorium of Bharuch, 260 people died from Corona in a week, while the official death in the district is only 36. Dharmesh Solanki, who cremated on the banks of the Narmada River, said, ‘For the past one week, the bodies of 22-25 corona deaths have been cremated daily. About 7,500 kg of wood is being supplied every day. About 100 bodies have been cremated in 10 cremation grounds in Ahmedabad in the last four days.

Three new cremations were started

According to sources, the bodies of at least 50 corona patients are being given to their families every day for the past one week. In two days, this figure has become hundred. Rajkot district also recorded more than 298 deaths in Kovid hospitals from April 8 to April 14, but only 57 deaths were recorded on paper. On Thursday, 82 others died in Rajkot. At least 20 dead bodies are being cremated daily in the newly constructed Pala crematorium.

Long funeral pyres are cremated together

The figures released by the Surat Municipal Corporation on Thursday showed 25 deaths. “It is true that corona deaths are being less visible in government data,” said a Health Department official. In Surat, a pyre of 18 feet and eight feet wide has been made to burn five dead bodies at one time. In this, the bodies are being lit by placing them at a distance of feet.
