Gurugram Metro: Good news for passengers! Now Metro will run Old City of Gurugram, project approved, these will be metro stations

Cabinet Decision: The Union Cabinet has approved the Gurugram Metro Connectivity Project. Now the metro will be extended till old Gurugram and the old and new city will be connected through metro.

New Delhi. The Union Cabinet has approved 28.5 km long metro connectivity between HUDA City Center and Cyber City in Gurugram. The cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. This project will cost Rs 5453 crore and it will be completed in 4 years. With the expansion of the Metro route, the old Gurugram city will be connected to the new city.

The people of the city have been demanding for the expansion of Metro for many years. People demand that Metro route should be made from Huda City Center to Subhash Chowk and from there to Sector-37 near Hoda Chowk, from railway station to Palam Vihar so that the whole city can get metro facility.

After the cabinet meeting, Union Minister Piyush Goyal told that in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the proposal of Metro expansion of the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing was approved. Is. He told that under this, the metro will be extended by 28.5 kilometers and it will have 27 stations.

Goyal told that this will benefit the people of Haryana, especially Gurugram and Delhi. The Union Minister said that Gurugram is a hub of information technology and startups. With the expansion of Metro, new employment opportunities will develop. The joining of new and old city will ensure overall economic development of the area.

The entire route will be elevated

This entire route from Hooda City Center to Cyber City will be elevated. As of now there is no metro line in Old Gurugram. Now this shortcoming will be removed. On completion of this route, metro connectivity will also be done till the railway station. In the next phase, connectivity will be provided till IGI Airport.

These will be stations

People on this line will also be given a way to go to the Dwarka Expressway. According to the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of this project, apart from HUDA City Center and Cyber City, Sector 45, Cyber Park, Sector 47, Subhash Chowk, Sector 48, Sector 72A, Hero Honda Chowk, Udyog Vihar Phase 6, Sector 10, Sector 37, Basai Village, Sector 101, Sector 9, Sector 7, Sector 4, Sector 5, Ashok Vihar, Sector 3, Krishna Chowk, Palam Vihar Extension, Palam Vihar, Sector 23A, Sector 22, Udyog Vihar Phase -4 and Udyog Vihar-5 will come.
