Company With Most H1B Visa: Data has come out about how many H-1B visas were approved to which tech company in 2024. According to USCIS, out of 130,000 H-1B visas between April and September 2024, 24,766 visas were given to companies of Indian origin. Here is the list of top companies in this case.

Washington: The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) under the Donald Trump administration is making several changes to the H-1B visa program. This visa allows US employers to hire foreign workers for positions requiring specific skills. Indians are among the biggest beneficiaries of the H-1B visa program. According to USCIS data, Indian-origin tech companies secured a fifth of all H-1B visas issued by the US in 2024. The agency further said that out of 130,000 H-1B visas between April and September 2024, 24,766 visas were given to companies of Indian origin.

According to the data, Infosys got 8,140 visas and TCS got 5,274 visas approved. HCL America got 2,953 and Wipro got 1,634 visas. Tech Mahindra was issued 1,199 visas. However, these companies could not reach the top in terms of H-1B visa approval. Jeff Bezos-led Amazon was approved 9,265 H-1B visas.

Here is the list of top companies based on H-1B sponsorship approval in 2024-

  • Amazon Com Services LLC – 9,265 visa approvals
  • Infosys Limited – 8,140 visa approvals
  • Cognizant Technology Solutions – 6,321 visa approvals
  • Google LLC – 5,364 visa approvals
  • Tata Consultancy Services Limited – 5,274 visa approvals
  • Meta Platforms Inc. – 4,844 visa approvals
  • Microsoft Corporation – 4,725 visa approvals
  • Apple Inc. – 3,873 visa approvals
  • HCL America Inc. – 2,953 visa approvals

What does ‘Approved Beneficiary’ mean for H-1B visa?

On the USCIS portal, ‘Approved Beneficiary’ counts the number of specific individuals (not petitions) who have been approved to work in the US under the H-1B programme through an employer’s petition. The approval can be for ‘initial employment’ (new H-1B workers entering the programme) or ‘continued employment’ (extension or modification for existing H-1B workers).

However, the data does not indicate whether beneficiaries actually started work. It also does not take into account multiple petitions filed for the same beneficiary by different employers.
