Hardik Pandya out of World Cup 2023, BCCI announces replacement; Team India got a big shock

Hardik Pandya is out of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. BCCI has also announced his replacement. In a way, this has been a big blow to Team India, who had become a victim of ankle injury.

Team India has suffered a big setback amid the World Cup 2023. The team’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya is now completely out of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI has also announced his replacement. Hardik Pandya suffered an ankle injury during the fourth match of the World Cup 2023. Now BCCI has included fast bowler Prasidh Krishna in his place in the final 15. ICC has approved this replacement.

Hardik Pandya was injured while stopping a straight drive while bowling in the match played against Bangladesh in Pune. After this he went for a scan, where it was found that he would have to undergo some injections and after a few days he could return to the field. Hardik Pandya was taken to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for the treatment of injury, where he was treated and was also seen in the nets. During this period he played 3 matches, but he did not fully recover during this period.

Due to not being able to recover from the ankle injury, BCCI demanded his replacement from the ICC Technical Committee, which has been approved. Prasidh Krishna has been included in the team as his replacement. However, the concern now is who will play the role of the sixth bowler in the team. However, there is no need for a sixth bowler for the team yet, because Mohammed Shami has performed strongly and taken a total of 14 wickets in the last three matches.

Talking about the famous Krishna, he has played only 19 white ball cricket matches for India. He was last seen at the international level when he took one wicket for 45 runs in nine overs against Australia just before the World Cup. He had dismissed David Warner in that match. Krishna has taken 33 international wickets so far and will now be a part of India’s fast bowling attack (Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj).

Team combination spoiled

Even though Hardik Pandya’s injury has not affected Team India much till now, the kind of combination he provides to the team is no less than a winning combination. When he comes to bat, he looks like a proper batsman and when he comes to bowl, he looks like a proper bowler. His fielding is also strong. In such a situation, if Team India fields with 6 batsmen and five bowlers, then if a sixth bowler is needed in a match, there can be a big loss.
