Haryana Important News: Old vehicles will no longer be able to run in these 14 districts of Haryana, the ban will be implemented in Delhi-NCR

Old vehicles will be confiscated in 14 districts of Haryana falling in NCR. Diesel vehicles of 10 years and above and petrol vehicles of 15 years and above will be confiscated in these districts of Haryana.

In Haryana, falling in the country’s capital Delhi (Delhi NCR) area, there is a preparation to fall on those who keep old vehicles. From now on, 10 years old diesel and 15 years old petrol engine vehicles will be sold in 14 districts of Haryana. For this, Haryana Police will run a special awareness campaign. According to the police spokesperson, vehicles of those who do not obey the orders of the Supreme Court will be confiscated. To prevent air pollution, the Supreme Court has banned the plying of old vehicles in the Delhi NCR region.




In fact, the order of the Supreme Court will be applicable in 14 districts of Haryana falling in the National Capital Region, Faridabad, Gurugram, Nuh, Rohtak, Sonipat, Rewari, Jhajjar, Panipat, Palwal, Bhiwani, Dadri, Mahendragarh, Jind and Karnal. All these districts come under Delhi NCR. Haryana Police will make the police drivers/owners aware about the ban on plying of old vehicles to ensure compliance of these orders. An awareness campaign will also be conducted strictly implementing the orders of the Supreme Court and the National Green Authority (JUNC). Under this, vehicle owners will be motivated to scrap the vehicles that have completed the prescribed time.

Police will run awareness campaign to scrap old vehicles

Giving information about this on Tuesday, a Haryana Police spokesperson said that the Supreme Court has imposed a ban on the plying of old vehicles in the Delhi-NCR region to check air pollution. He said that as part of the awareness campaign, the owners of such vehicles would also be advised to scrap this category of vehicles as per the policy of the government. Simultaneously, enforcement drive will be launched and vehicles violating the rule will be confiscated. During this, the spokesperson also appealed to the general public and said that following the directions of the Supreme Court and NGT, do not drive old vehicles that have completed the prescribed time period.




Strictly implement the order of SC and NGT

Let us tell you that the Supreme Court and NGT had given instructions to curb old vehicles about 5 years ago, but till now it has not been strictly implemented. However, there are more than six and a half lakh such vehicles in the state. who have completed the stipulated time period. More than 3/4 of these vehicles are in Delhi NCR. At present, by implementing these now orders, the owners and drivers of old vehicles will be made aware for about a fortnight first. After this, the vehicles will be confiscated by tightening the noose on the drivers who do not obey and they will be put in scrap as a conduit.
