This interest rate is being offered to the customers only for some time. These interest rates are being given only on FD schemes offered for these two specific periods.

According to the HDFC Bank website, HDFC Bank is offering Special Edition Fixed Deposit. In this, interest is being given to the customers at the rate of 7.20% on FD of 35 months period. At the same time, 7.25 percent interest is being offered to the customers for FD of 55 months. Apart from this, an additional interest of 0.50 per cent is being given to senior citizens on both these FDs. That is, giving 7.70 percent interest to senior citizens on FD of 35 months and 7.75 percent on FD of 55 months. If customers want to take advantage of this scheme, then invest as soon as possible.
The bank had changed the interest rates on FDs on May 29.
On 29 May 2023, HDFC Bank changed the interest rates on FDs. Interest is being received at the rate of 3% on FDs between 7 to 29 days. On FDs of 30 to 45 days, customers are getting interest at the rate of 3.50%. Customers are getting interest at the rate of 4.50% on FDs of 46 days and less than six months.
These are the interest rates – Senior citizens will get an extra interest of 0.50 per cent on these rates.

- For a period of 30 to 45 days – 3.50%
- For tenure of 36 to 89 days – 4.50%
- For tenure from 36 days to 6 months – 4.50%
- From 6 months 1 day to 9 months – 5.75%
- From 9 months 1 day to 1 year – 6.00%
- From 1 year 1 day to 15 months – 6.60%
- From 15 months 1 day to 18 months – 7.10%
- From 18 months to 2 years to 11 months – 7.00%
