HDFC Bank Q3 results: Private sector bank HDFC Bank (HDFC Bank) has announced the third quarter results. The bank has made huge profits during this period. The bank has a net profit of 8,758.3 crores with an increase of 18.1 percent on an annual basis. According to the news of Livemint, HDFC Bank on Saturday released the results for the quarter ended in December 2020 (HDFC Bank Q3 results). The bank had a net profit of Rs 7,416.48 crore in the same period last year. Net interest income (difference between interest earned and interest earned) of the private loan provider increased by 15.1% to Rs 16,317.6 crore on an annual basis during the quarter under review. In the same period last year it was 14,172.9 crore.

According to the news, the bank’s net revenue increased to Rs 23,760.8 crore for the quarter ended December 31. Apart from this, income from other medium stood at 7,443.2 crores during Q3. According to Live Mint news, income through the second channel for the quarter ended December 31, 2020, had four components – including fees and commissions of Rs 4,974.9 crore, foreign exchange and derivatives revenue of Rs 562.2 crore, sale of investment of Rs 1109 crore or Revaluation and miscellaneous income comprising Rs 797.1 crore.

Pre-provision operating profit for the quarter ended December 2020 increased by 17.3% to Rs 18 15,186.02 crore annually. HDFC Bank informed the exchanges that its loan book increased by 16% year-on-year to Rs 10.82 lakh crore and deposits increased by 19% to Rs 12.71 lakh crore on an annual basis at the end of December quarter.

The total balance sheet of the private sector bank increased by 18.6 percent on an annual basis to Rs 1,654,338 crore in the quarter ended December. Talking about the total deposits, it increased by 19.1 percent on an annual basis to Rs 1,271,124 crore. Similarly, the CASA ratio of the bank also increased from 43.5 percent to 43 percent on an annual basis. This figure is 41.6 percent as compared to September 2020.
