He told that fire is going to rain from the sky in Bareilly, Badaun, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur as well as neighboring district Kheri from Friday. There is a possibility of intense heat since the morning and the maximum temperature will rise between 42 to 44 degrees in the afternoon. He said that there is a red heat alert in Bareilly and Badaun from May 17 to May 31. He told that according to the forecast, the maximum temperature in Bareilly and Badaun can be 44 degrees from Friday itself, this temperature can remain till the end of May. There is no respite from the heat even at night, because the minimum temperature is likely to cross 30 degrees. Dr. Manmohan Singh said that usually these days the maximum normal temperature is 40 degrees and the minimum temperature is 25 degrees. Told that this temperature has also been normal till Thursday, but from Friday the temperature is likely to go above normal.

District wise weather forecast

A major impact of heatwave can be seen in Bareilly from May 17 to May 28, the maximum temperature can reach 45 to 48 degrees and the minimum temperature can reach 30 degrees.

There is a red weather alert in Badaun from May 17 to May 27, where the maximum temperature is likely to be between 45 to 48 degrees and the minimum temperature is likely to rise up to 30 degrees.

In view of the inclement weather, sales of coolers and ACs have increased at electronics shops in the markets. People are resorting to coolers and ACs to get rid of the heat. People coming to the court complex located in the city are resorting to beverages like Shikanji, Mango Pane and Jaljeera to quench their thirst. Less people are coming to the markets in the afternoon. Due to strong sunlight and humidity, there was silence in the streets and markets during the day. People who came out of their homes for some important work were seen using umbrellas, handkerchiefs and towels to protect themselves from the scorching sun.
