IMD has issued an alert for heavy rains. On March 24, heavy rains are expected in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, South Madhya Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Odisha.
A new Western disturbance is expected to arrive in the western Himalayan region from the night of 24 March. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms and lightning in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Muzaffarabad till 27 March and in Uttarakhand on 26 and 27 March.
