Heavy rain and water logging in Mumbai, heavy rain forecast in these states including UP-Bihar, ‘Red Alert’ issued, thunderstorm and water in Delhi-Jharkhand from today

Low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal
IMD said that a low pressure area remains over the Bay of Northwest Bengal. It is likely to move towards Odisha, Jharkhand and North Chhattisgarh in the next three to four days. The IMD said that due to favorable weather conditions, Southwest Monsoon is expected to cover the entire country except South Rajasthan and Kutch region of Gujarat during the next five to six days.

The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of sudden strong winds with thunderstorms at some places in Hanumangarh, Ganganagar districts of western Rajasthan and rain in Baran district of eastern Rajasthan during the next 24 hours.

The IMD said that some places in Mumbai and neighboring Thane may also receive heavy rains on Saturday.
