How long will schools remain closed in Jharkhand?
In view of the increasing cold and the impact of cold wave, the Jharkhand government has ordered the closure of all the schools in the state from December 26 to December 31. In this regard, Additional Secretary of School Education and Literacy Department Kumud Sahay has issued the order and it It has been implemented with immediate effect. Under this, all categories of government, non-government aided, unaided (including minority schools) and all private schools running in the state will remain closed from December 26 to December 31, 2023.

It has also been said in the order that keeping in mind the Secondary and Higher Secondary Board Examination, the concerned schools will conduct classes from class 10 to class 12 as per the need, this order will come into effect with immediate effect. Under the order, now School 1 Will be opened in January 2024. Let us tell you that due to the rapid drop in temperature in Jharkhand for the last few days, cold weather is prevailing. More cold fog is expected to increase in the coming days.
Winter holidays in Himachal also from 26th December
Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh has also announced winter vacation for the students.
As per the orders of the Education Department, there will be a total of 17 days of winter vacation in schools. Under this, there will be holidays from 26th December to 11th January and schools will start from 12th January. There will be a holiday in Outer Seraj from 1st January to 15th February and schools will start in Outer Seraj on 16th February. Under the orders of the Higher Education Department, there will be a holiday in colleges from 1st January to 5th February. After this, schools will be opened from 6th February.
15 days holiday announced in UP schools
Winter holidays have been announced in UP.There will be winter vacation in all council schools from 31st December.According to the information sent to the schools from the Directorate General of School Education, there will be winter holidays in council schools from December 31 to January 14 next year, after teaching on December 30.In this regard, orders have also been issued by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council, in which it has also been said that in view of the change in weather during winter season, the timing of school operation can be changed by the competent authority.
However, in some districts, holidays in private schools started from Thursday itself. Schools including St. Mary’s in Banaras have declared holidays. Now schools will open here on January 3. Similarly, holidays have started in ICSE schools of Agra. There will be a holiday in CBSE schools from the last days of December to 8th to 10th January. St. Paul’s Church College Unit I has a holiday from last 16th December to 8th January. So Sanchida Dani, Principal of St. Paul’s Church College Second Branch, said that there will be a holiday from 19 to 8. Holidays will start from 22nd in Patricks, Conrad and Peters. Father Bhaskar Rajsu, Principal of Center Peters, said that there will be holidays from December 23.
Agra DIOS Dinesh Kumar said that Christmas Day is celebrated on December 25 and all schools will remain closed on Christmas Day. At the same time, no government order has come regarding winter vacation. Along with this, there will be Sunday holiday on 24th December due to which schools will remain closed.
In the districts where private schools have been closed till January 3, if the weather deteriorates, the school holidays may get extended. In case of bad weather, the district administration itself takes a decision in this regard.
