School Holiday: According to the calendar, there will be a holiday of four days each from 24th to 27th March for Holi and from 10th to 13th October for Durga Puja. Among Muslim festivals, there will be two days holiday for Eid on 11th and 12th April while for Muharram on 17th and 18th June.
Bihar School College Holiday 2024: There is good news for the college students of Bihar. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar’s office has released the holiday calendar for the year 2024 for the universities (Bihar Universities). Under this, a total of 92 holidays will be available in 2024. The special thing is that the summer holidays will be from 1st to 30th June. Summer vacation will be for students and teachers, but not for the employees. Let us tell you that earlier holidays were announced for school students.
Know how long the colleges will remain closed
According to the order issued by the Governor’s office, there will be a total of 89 holidays in the year 2024. In this, there will be 30 days of summer vacation, 4 days on Holi (21 to 24 March) and 2 days each on Eid and Muharram. There will be 12 Sundays in the 89 days of holidays. There will be Chhath holiday from Diwali from 31st October to 9th November. Apart from this, there will be a holiday from 24th to 31st December on the occasion of Christmas. However, this time the holiday will be for 30 days as compared to 20 days last year.
There will be holidays on these anniversaries also in the new year
Apart from this, many holidays have been reduced. Under this, now all the colleges and universities of Bihar will remain open on the birth anniversary of 5 great men, that is, there will be no holiday on the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan, Anugrah Narayan Singh in the new year, but on 24th January, Karpoori Thakur. Holidays have also been declared on the occasion of birth anniversary, Shri Krishna Singh Jayanti on 21st October, Guru Nanak Jayanti on 15th November and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Jayanti on 3rd December. Principal Secretary to the Governor, Robert L. Chongthu has informed the concerned universities about the extended holidays.
Know when schools will remain closed in 2024
Bihar Education Department has already released the holidays calendar for the year 2024. Under this, the holidays for Diwali and Chhath Puja in government schools of the state will be from 13 to 21 November. Private schools have declared holiday from 11th to 21st November. Diwali vacation in Kendriya Vidyalaya will be from 10th to 13th November. There will be a holiday on 15th November for Bhai Dooj. Chhath Puja holiday in Kendriya Vidyalaya will be from 18th to 20th November. Most of the schools in the city will open on November 22 after the Diwali and Chhath holidays.
In non-Urdu schools, there will be holidays of Mahashivratri, Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Janaki Navami, whereas in Urdu schools there will be no holidays. A day holiday has been observed on Chehallum in both Urdu and non-Urdu schools.
There will be two days holiday on Muharram in Urdu schools and one day holiday in non-Urdu schools. Three days holiday has been included in both the calendars on Chhath Puja. There will be no holidays for Rakshabandhan, Teej and Jiutiya in non-Urdu schools.
Eid holiday has been given for three days in Urdu schools while for one day in non-Urdu schools. At the same time, on Bakrid, there is a three-day holiday in Urdu schools and one day holiday in non-Urdu schools.
2 days holiday has been given in Holi, Moharram and Durga Puja. 3 days holiday has been given in Eid ul Fitr (Eid), 3 days holiday has been given in Eid ul Juha (Bakrid). Summer holidays from 15 April, 2024 to 15 Will happen by May, 2024.
This holiday will be only for students, school principals, teachers and teachers will come to school as per the government calendar.
If any school is in a Muslim dominated area and wants to declare Friday as a weekly holiday like an Urdu school, then permission will have to be taken from the local level, instead classes will be conducted on Sunday.
