Holidays Extended: Holidays extended again for students up to class 8th, know for how many days schools will remain closed

Holidays have been extended once again for students from nursery to class 8 in schools of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and UP. In Bihar, schools up to class 8 will remain closed till January 18 and in Tamil Nadu, all schools and colleges will remain closed till January 19.

School Winter Holiday 2025: There is relief news for school students. Due to severe cold, cold wave and dense fog, holidays in schools of many states including Rajasthan and UP have been extended once again. The timings of many schools have been changed.

The Kurukshetra and Ambala administration of Haryana have issued orders to keep government and private schools closed today on 17 January as well. Now the schools are likely to open on 18 January. Let us tell you that earlier it was decided to keep all the schools closed from January 1 to January 15.

Holidays extended in these districts of Rajasthan

  • In view of the cold wave, holiday has been declared in government and non-government schools from class 1 to 5 in Kota and Bundi till January 18, while schools from class 6 to 12 will be operated from 10 am to 3 pm.
  • An order has been issued for school holiday for children from class 1 to 8 in Deeg, Alwar, Pratapgarh, Beawar and Ajmer. There will also be a holiday at Anganwadi centers, while school staff has been ordered to come to school. Action will be taken as per rules against those who violate the rules.

Holiday declared in these schools of MP too

  • Holiday has been declared in all schools related to MP Board, CBSC and ICSE from nursery to 8th on January 17 in MP Ujjain, Mandsaur Sagar and Neemuch. This order will be applicable in all private, government and Anganwadi schools. However, teachers have been ordered to go to school like every day.
  • Holiday has been declared till January 18 for students from nursery to class VIII in Ashoknagar, Ratlam, Tikamgarh, Guna, Datia, Chhatarpur, Shajapur and Agar Malwa.
  • Under the order of the Collector, classes from nursery to 12th in Bhind will run from 11 am to 4 pm. This order will be effective from January 17 to January 31, 2025.

Holidays extended in these districts of UP

  • The Ghaziabad district administration has issued an order to keep all schools from class 1 to 8 closed till January 18, 2025. All schools affiliated to all council, secondary (UP Board), CBSE, ICSE or other boards will remain completely closed for students till 18-01-2025. During this period, all the staff / employees of the school will remain present in the school and will continue to do departmental work.
  • In view of the cold wave in Lucknow, Pilibhit, Bareilly, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Agra, holiday has been declared on January 17 in all schools up to class eight. In those schools where holiday has not been declared for students of classes 9 to 12, classes of students should be conducted online as far as possible on 17th. In case of no online arrangement, the school should be operated for students of classes 9 to 12 between 10 am to 3 pm.
  • In Shahjahanpur, Muzaffarnagar, holidays have been declared in schools up to class 8 till January 18. After this, 19th is Sunday, so now schools will open on January 20. However, online classes will be conducted for students from class 9 to 12. Where there is no arrangement for online classes, they will be conducted from 10 am to 3 pm.
