Delhi’s Saket court on Tuesday approved the divorce of singer and rapper Honey Singh and his wife. In September last year, Honey Singh had also handed over a demand draft of Rs 1 crore to his wife. Before delivering the verdict, the judge asked Singh if he still wanted to try to live with his wife.
Honey Singh Divorce: Saket court on Tuesday granted the divorce of singer and rapper Honey Singh and his wife. Family Court Chief Justice Paramjit Singh granted a divorce decree to both the parties, ending the two-and-a-half-year-old litigation between Singh and his wife.
Allegations were made of domestic violence
Honey Singh’s wife had accused him of domestic violence. She alleged that she was living in fear as she was subjected to mental, physical, emotional, sexual and financial violence by Honey Singh and his family. All charges were withdrawn after a settlement was reached between the two parties.
Handed over demand draft of Rs 1 crore to wife
The terms of the settlement were kept in a sealed envelope. In September last year, Honey Singh had also handed over a demand draft of Rs 1 crore to his wife. Before delivering the verdict, the judge asked Singh if he still wanted to try to live with his wife. The singer replied that there was no other chance to be together.
