It has been decided to increase the honorarium of 2.15 Anganwadi workers and assistants posted in 1.5 lakh Anganwadi centers operating in Bihar. The state government can quickly take a decision in this regard and issue orders. The Social Welfare Department has prepared a proposal to increase the honorarium of Anganwadi workers and assistants. Which has been sent for the approval of the Council of State Ministers.
According to official sources of the department, after the decision by the state government, the process of increasing the honorarium of maids and assistants will be started immediately. In such a situation, Anganwadi workers and assistants including state government employees will also get huge benefits. It is believed that the honorarium can be increased by 10%.
Presently the maids are getting Rs 6500 and the helpers are getting Rs 5900 as honorarium. The maids and assistants provide many types of services to provide nutritious food grains to the women through Anganwadi centres. For the last one month, Anganwadi workers and assistants have been agitating under the banner of four major organizations and demanding major demands from the government.
