The scheme is being run by the central government to encourage inter-caste marriages. Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance to newly married inter-caste couples. Let us know how one can apply for this scheme and what is its complete process.
India is certainly touching new heights today and is also writing a new story of development, but even today many people in the country are holding in the chains of conservatism. Their narrow mindset does not allow for inter-caste marriages. Due to this same orthodox thinking, many young men and women do not shy away from sleeping on their own death in inter-caste marriages. This situation of the country in the 21st century is very worrying. But in the midst of all this, the good thing is that despite all the pressures and obstacles, the society is constantly moving towards change and this has the effect that the trend of inter-caste marriage is also gaining momentum.
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar also gave his views on inter-caste marriage
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the creator of the Constitution, had also given his views to promote inter-caste marriages. He said that after inter-caste marriages, boys and girls do not get the support of the house, then the government should help these couples in such a situation. The state and central government should help these couples financially so that non-cooperation from the family can be repaid.
