This portal has also created an app so that passengers have more facility to book train tickets. How to book online IRCTC train tickets on mobile
To book a train ticket via smartphone, you must first download the IRCTC Rail Connect app from the Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store. If you are a new user, then you will have to register yourself here by starting the process. Apart from this, users can also visit the IRCTC web portal through their mobile browser, but registration is also mandatory there. Follow these steps to book train tickets through the IRCTC mobile app – After downloading the
IRCTC Rail Connect app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store , install it in your smartphone. Log in with the information found after the new registration there.
Here you click on Plan My Bookings on the home page. Then fill in the departure station and destination station information. Fill in the date you want to travel. Then click on Search Trains.
Then a list of the train will appear before you according to the departure time and availability / unavailability. Seat availability is divided into sleeper class, AC and several categories.
Click on the desired category here and you will see the value of that ticket. Once you have selected the train and class, click on Passenger Details.
At the time of one-time booking, you can book for 6 adults and 2 infants. IRCTC also asks you the address of the destination. Fill in your details here and click in the check box in front of accept the terms and conditions. Then click on Review Journey Details.
Here, you double check all the information. If you are satisfied with the information you have filled and the available train details, after filling the CAPTCHA at the bottom of the page, click on Proceed to Pay.
You can also use mobile wallet, debit card, credit card or net banking for payment here. Once the payment is made, the user can view his booked ticket in the transaction history.
