Why contact details are important to be updated
With LIC policy, you need to keep your mobile number, email id updated. You will receive policy update alerts on your mobile number and email id. Premium alerts are also available.
Update online like this
Visit the official website of LIC www.licindia.in. Scroll down to the customer services section on the home page and click on the Update Your Contact Details- online option at the bottom. On the next page click on Update Your Contact Details link. A new page will open here, in which you are asked for your details on the new interface. In this you have to enter name, date of birth, mobile number, email id. Now submit by ticking the declaration below.
After submitting the policy details have to be verified. Here you will be asked to enter the policy number. Then click on Validate Policy Details. On clicking, the next page will open in which Request Status Successful will be written. After this you have to send request. You will now get a verification call from LIC. This call is for verification. Confirmation mail will be sent on email. And your contact details get updated.
Can update offline
If you want to update the contact details offline, then download the form from the LIC website link and take a print out. Now fill it well. In this, you are asked to fill the policy number, mobile number, pin code and email id. Then the name and signature of the policy holder has to be done in the lower part and it has to be submitted to the LIC office. After this your contact details get updated in a few days.
