An employee’s UAN never changes. No matter how many jobs he has changed
All employees performing contributions in EPF have a 12-digit Universal Account Number -UAN. It is given by the Employee Provident Fund Organization -EPFO and is authenticated by the Ministry of Labor and Employment of the Government of India, Government of India. An employee’s UAN never changes. Even if he has changed any number of jobs.
EPFO provides employees with a new account, ie ID, when the job changes. This new account or ID is linked to the UAN. You can appeal a new ID in a new company with a UAN. When your ID is generated, it is added to the employee’s UAN. Hence, every company that changes, its UAN is the same. It can have many IDs.
Employees Provident Fund Organization – EPFO has provided online UAN generation facility. Which employees can make themselves through their Aadhaar card. The same people can avail this facility. Whose mobile number is registered in Aadhaar. The reason for this is that one-time password (OTP) is sent to it.

After getting OTP, your personal information such as date of birth, name will get all the information in the system. Which will appear on your screen. When all your documents are verified, your UAN will be generated. After this your new company will be handed over.
How to create UAN through Aadhaar
First of all, you have to visit the official website of EPFO www.epfindia.gov.in . After this, you have to click on Online Aadhaar Verified UAN Allotment on the login screen.
– Now you have to enter the Aadhaar number and click on Generate OTP. OTP will come in the registered mobile number of Aadhaar number. Enter OTP and accept it.
– After this, fill the captcha and click on Register icon. After this, your UAN will be created.
How to check if your UAN is linked to Aadhaar
To know whether your Aadhaar is linked to UAN or not, you have to click on https://iwu.epfindia.gov.in/eKYC/ . Then click on Track E-KYC. Then you just have to enter your UAN and then you will get confirmation whether your Aadhaar and UAN is linked or not.
