To pay online road tax for vehicles of any state, you have to visit the official website link of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India) .
Online Road Tax Payment Process
1. To do ONLINE ROAD TAX PAYEMENT, you have to search by typing Online Road Tax Payment in Google Chrome of mobile phone or computer as shown in the picture. Then click on https://vahan.parivahan.gov.in/ .
2. On visiting the official website of https://vahan.parivahan.gov.in, a page will appear as shown in the picture by going down a bit. In which you have to select your STATE and Rto DISTRICT and click on Log on to Avail Services.
3. After clicking on Log on to Avail Services, a page like this will open in front of you. You have to click on ICON with PAY YOUR TAX. As shown in the picture below.
4. After clicking on the button with PAY YOUR TAX, we will reach the next webpage Online Application (Road Tax). In which we have to enter the registration number or chassis number of Apne Vehicle. And then click on Validate Regn_no/Chasi_no.
After that we have to enter our mobile number. And click on Generate OTP. After entering the OTP, we have to click on Submit.
5. After clicking on Submit, a new window will open in front of you, in which information related to Vehicle Owner, Vehicle Road Tax will be given as shown in the picture below. At the top LATEST ROAD TAX DETAILS will appear.
7. REFRESH INSIDE TAX DETAILS INSIDE TAX MODE as shown in the above picture. How many days do you want to pay VEHICLE ROAD TAX. Like YEARLY, LIFE TIME, MONTHLY, QUARTERLY OR ONE whatever you want to do.
But mostly QUARTERLY is USE. That’s why you also choose QUARTERLY. After this, ROAD TAX AMOUNT, PENAILTY and TOTAL amount will show within the next column. Click on the SUBMIT button at the end of the webpage.

In which the total amount of our road tax will be given. In this we have to click on the given DECLERATION and click on the CONFIRM PAYMENT given below.
10. After clicking on the CONFIRM PAYMENT button, another PAYMENT GATEWAY window will open in front of us. In which you have to do SBI SELECT inside SELECT PAYMENT GETEWAY. After this tick mark on I ACCEPT TERMS AND CONDITIONS. And then click on CONTINUE.
11. After clicking on CONTINUE, a new window will open in front of you, in which you only have to click on OK and then on Continue.
How To Pay Vehicle Road Tax Payment Fee Online?
12. After doing all this process of filling road tax online, we will come across the payment option in the image given below. Internet Banking, Card Payment like cerdit card, Atm Card Payment etc. Any facility available to you. You can make Vehicle Road Tax Fee Payment using it.
13. As soon as you enter the otp on the mobile phone to pay the fee and click on the submit button, then you have to give some time. The webpage doesn’t even have to be refreshed. Do not visit the official website of Road Tax by automatically redirecting the webpage. Till then you have to keep patience for 1 – 2 minutes.
14. After that the receipt of Road Tax Payment will come in front of you, you can save and print it by clicking on the print button. In which all the information related to vehicle road tax validity will be there.
