This fraud can be stopped to a considerable degree if the account holder is conscious and diligent. In an email to its customers, ICICI Bank offered three tips to stay free from scams. ICICI Bank offered three suggestions which might allow us to identify a fraud and they are:

Tips from ICICI Bank: KYC doesn’t make rewards for you. Obviously, this is fake. The link in the counterfeit message above, too, looks fraudulent.

Type 2: Y-Cash from sender: Congratulations, your account has been credited with Rs 3,30,000. To process it, please fill in your particulars at http://i2urewards.cc/33.

Tips from ICICI Bank: No organization ever gives such high amounts of cash for free, and the link in the above message looks fraudulent, also.

Type 3: 8726112@vz.com from sender: Your IT Refund has already been started. That’s the last day to assert it. Please visit http://itr.trn./toref.

Tips from ICICI Bank: Remember the sender ID that is uncertain. See how important they are.
