How to identify black fungus and what steps to take if infected? AIIMS Guidelines

New Delhi. The risk of black fungus in the country has increased due to corona virus infection and black fungus has killed many patients in many states. In view of the infection of Black Fungus Disease, Delhi-based All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has issued some guidelines through which the diagnosis of Black Fungus infection can be made in the patient and also it has been reported that the patient in case of Black Fungus What action to take

Symptoms of having a black fungus infection

  1. Black fluid
  2. Nasal congestion
  3. Headache or eye pain
  4. Swelling around the eyes, foggy eyes, red eyes, lightening of the eyes, trouble opening and closing eyes
  5. Face numbness, wrinkles in face
  6. Having trouble opening the mouth or chewing something

As per AIIMS guidelines, check your face continuously to check the symptoms of black fungus and see if there is any swelling on the face (especially on the nose, eyes or cheeks) or it is painful to touch a part. Ho. Apart from this, if the teeth are falling or if there is swelling and black parts inside the mouth, then be cautious.

What to do if you suspect black fungus

  1. If you suspect anything after examining the black fungus, contact the ENT doctor immediately.
  2. Get frequent treatment as per doctor’s advice
  3. Try to keep blood sugar under control
  4. If you are suffering from any other serious diseases, then keep taking their medicines continuously.
  5. Do not take any kind of medicine on your own
  6. Get a MRI or CT scan if the doctor advises
