The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) is tasked with the job of generating, transmitting, and distributing electricity in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This body was constituted by the government of Uttar Pradesh. As a customer of UPPCL, it is important for you to know the process regarding the payment of bills both online and offline.
UPPCL Electricity Board payment methods
Online
You can pay your bill online by visiting the official website of UPPCL and log in to the portal with the help of your user ID and password. Once you log in, you will be able to fetch the bill and make the payment using a mode of payment suitable as per your needs.
You can also pay your electricity bills by downloading the UPPCL mobile app. You can log in using your user ID and password. Once you have logged in, you will be able to view the bill on the portal and then proceed to pay the bill from a host of payment modes available at your disposal.

You can also pay your electricity bill with the help of various e-wallets such as Paytm, Amazon Pay, Freecharge, MobiKwik, etc. All you have to do is visit the e-wallet website and under electricity bill/bills payment section, enter the name of the board, consumer number, and details as required. Click on ‘fetch bill’. You can then proceed to pay your bill.
Offline
You can visit the nearest section office to pay your electricity bill offline. Make sure you carry your electricity bill along with you. You can pay your bill using different modes of payment such as debit card, credit card, cheque, demand draft, or simply through cash.
How to pay your UPPCL bill online?
- Given below are the steps you will have to follow in order to pay your UPCCL bill online:
- Visit the official website of UPCCL
- On the main page, under ‘My Connection’, click on ‘Pay Bill Online’
- Enter your account number and password, followed by the captcha given in the image
- Click on ‘Login’. You will then enter the portal
- On the portal, you will be able to view the electricity bill
- You can then proceed to pay your bill using different modes of payment available
Once you decide upon the mode of payment through which you wish to pay your bill, you will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP. Your payment will be completed. You can save the e-receipt for future reference.
Through e-wallets
You can pay your electricity bill using different types of e-wallets such as Paytm, Amazon Pay, Mobikwik, Freecharge, etc. Given below are the steps you will have to follow in order to pay your electricity bill through e-wallets:
- Visit the official website of the e-wallet through which you wish to pay the electricity bill
- Click on ‘electricity’ section on the page. You will be directed to a new page
- Enter the state in which you reside. The state in this case that you must choose is Uttar Pradesh
- Select the electricity board which will be UPPCL
- Enter the consumer id and click on ‘fetch bill’
- The billing amount will be displayed on your screen
- Proceed to make the payment. Follow the instructions given and you will be able to pay your electricity bill using e-wallet.
