Delhi Chief Minister Atishi said that the Mahila Samman Yojana will be launched in Delhi in the next 7-10 days. On Thursday, Kejriwal had announced the launch of this scheme. Under this, women will get Rs 1000 every month. After the elections, this amount will increase to Rs 2100.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi said that the Mahila Samman Yojana will be launched in Delhi in the next 7 to 10 days. He said that the government is working on the registration process. Atishi said that by March 31, 2025, women will get one or two installments under this scheme. Kejriwal announced the launch of Mahila Samman Yojana on Thursday.
Kejriwal said that if his party returns to power, the amount will be increased to Rs 2100. Addressing the media on Friday, Delhi CM Atishi said that this scheme fulfills the government’s promise to empower women. We have fulfilled our promise of giving Rs 1000 to women. We have implemented it despite the opposition’s efforts to obstruct.
Eligibility Criteria for the Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana:
- The woman must be a registered voter in Delhi.
- The woman’s annual income should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
- The woman must be between 18 and 60 years old (those over 60 are eligible for other pension schemes).
- Women who own a four-wheeler are not eligible.
