What documents will be needed
- Valid passport
- Must be a photocopy of the first and last page of your current passport.
- Self attested photocopy of ECR/Non-ECR page
- Proof of address

Passport renewal fee
- For a 36 page passport with a validity of 10 years, a fee of Rs 1500 has to be paid, while for Tatkal, a fee of Rs 2000 is charged.
- For a 60 page passport with a validity of 10 years, a fee of Rs 2000 is charged, while for Tatkal, a fee of Rs 2000 has to be paid.
- For children below 18 years of age, the fee for a 36 page passport with 5 years validity is Rs 1000, while for Tatkal, Rs 2000 has to be paid.
- For children below 18 years of age, a fee of Rs 1500 has to be paid for a 36 page passport with a validity of 10 years, while Rs 2000 has to be paid for Tatkal.
How to renew passport online
Step 1: Visit the Passport Seva website.
Step 2: If the registration is complete, login with your ID.
Step 3: Access the portal with login credentials.
Step 4: After this tap on ‘Apply for a New Passport/Re-issue of Passport’ option.
Step 5: After this, click on the option that all the required documents are correct.
Step 6: Then select payment and schedule option.
Step 7: After this complete the payment.
Step 8: After this submit the form.
Step 9: Then select the option of application print.
Step 10: After this, go to the nearest Passport Seva Kendra on the scheduled date with all the necessary documents and your submitted application.
