PF Clients Alert: Job changes are mandatory in the life of the employee. The amount of PF deducted from salary while working in a location will be credited to the EPFO account. However after joining the new company you have to transfer the PF from the old company account to the new account. You must have a link to a UAN Active, PF account to transfer online. By logging into the EPFO portal via UAN number you can see the amount deposited in the old company. To do this you must first go to the UAN portal and activate the UAN.
How to transfer EPFO money
- First go to EPFO Unified Member Portal https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/. Login here with Universal Account Number (UAN), Password.
- After logging in, go to Online Services and click on the Member-One EPF Account Transfer Request option.
- In which you need to verify personal information, PF account. Then click on the Get Details option.
- You now have the opportunity to choose between the previous employer and the current employer to verify the online claim form. You selected it based on the availability of the official signature holding DSC. Choose one of the two owners. Enter Member ID or UAN.
- Finally click on the Get OTP option. The OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Then submit the OTP.
- Once the OTP is verified the company will go for online money transfer process request.
- This process will be completed in three days. The company will transfer it first. This is confirmed by the EPFO field officers.
Form for Offline Transfer 13 ..
After placing the OTP your company will request for online money transfer process. The company transfers the money first. It will then be verified by the EPFO Field Officer. You can check your status on the track claim status to find out if the transfer request is complete. For offline transfer you need to fill up Form 13 and give it to your old or new company.
Difficulties in PF Transfer
If an employee EPFO Account UAN is not active, the registered mobile number is not registered, or the mobile registered in the Aadhaar card is not in the EPFO, there may be difficulties in depositing the EPFO amount from the old. The employee bank account and Aadhaar card for the new account should all be linked to the UAN account. The exit date from the previous company must be entered.
