KYC is a must. Without this, money cannot be withdrawn from PF accounts. PF shareholders from companies and institutions under the purview of EPFO have been directed to complete 100% matching of UAN and KYC. It says that it is necessary to get KYC of UAN. In 2014, EPFO issued a 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) for shareholders with a view to speeding up and providing better services related to the Provident Fund. Now all accounts are linked to UAN. From this, information related to any provident fund can be obtained in the future. Also, the entire service history is added to it.
These documents are important
KYC linked to UAN requires Aadhaar number, bank account number, PAN and mobile number of the shareholder. When the subscriber associates his KYC with UAN, he can get the information related to the PF account from his mobile phone in real time.
Benefits of having KYC
Accounts in which the KYC document process is completed, never face any problem in money transfer or withdrawal. If your bank account information is not updated in your PF account, then the claim request can also be rejected.
