It is also possible to withdraw money online from the Provident Fund in case of emergency.
All workers in India who are regular income earners are legally required to contribute 12 per cent of their basic salary to the Provident Fund every month. In this way the amount from the salary of the worker and the employer’s contribution and their interest are deposited in the name of the worker in the provident fund account. Workers can also withdraw this amount in certain circumstances.
