Fees levied on vehicles in UP
8% road tax is levied on vehicles costing less than 10 lakhs. Apart from this, 10% road tax is levied on vehicles costing more than 10 lakhs. Uttar Pradesh is one of the largest markets in terms of retail sales in the passenger wheels market.
UP’s passenger vehicle retail sales in H124 increased by 13.5 percent to 2.36 lakh units. According to Uttar Pradesh dealers, after this decision, the demand for Maruti Suzuki’s hybrid vehicles will increase. Last year, Maruti Suzuki sold 1,000 units of Grand Vitara and Invicto.
