But now to increase the security of customers’ bank accounts, ICICI Bank has revealed three safety rules that you must know about.
Secured Wi-Fi Connection According to ICICI Bank’s Twitter post “Always use a ‘secured’ Wi-Fi connection to access digital channels of banking or to transact online. This means that you will always have unsecured and unknown Wi-Fi connectivity.” Don’t use Fi networks and be aware of this. Instead you should always choose a secure Wi-Fi connection.

ICICI Bank has alerted its customers about a SIM card related issue. ICICI Bank has also alerted about SIM swap frauds and said to “be alert and do safe banking. Always contact your mobile network provider if network is missing for a long time, there is an alert or call.
Beware of social media
ICICI Bank has also issued an alert to the customers regarding social media. You should not publicly publish your phone number on any social networking platform.
Caution in UPI transaction
While making UPI transactions, customers should be aware that UPI PIN is required to send money and not to receive money. To make its customers more aware of the UPI PIN, ICICI Bank has asked that you beware of fraudsters asking you to share your UPI PIN over the phone.
Contactless payment solution
ICICI Bank has also recently launched a contactless payment solution through iMobile Pay. Customers can now use their smartphones to make payments at POS (Point of Sale) terminals at merchant outlets instead of using their debit or credit cards. It is a simple to use contactless payment solution to make hassle free payments. Customers using the bank’s debit and credit cards will benefit from this service as they will no longer need to carry their cards while shopping at retail stores. Using the digital card, customers can initiate electronic payments at merchant outlets from an NFC enabled Android smartphone by simply moving their phone near a contactless POS device.
Download new version
Customers need to download the latest variant of the iMobile Pay app from Google Play on their NFC-enabled smartphones running Android 6 or above to use this service. Customers will need to complete iMobile Pay activation once to start using the ‘Tap to Pay’ service, after which they will be able to transact securely and easily at retail stores.
