United Arab Emirates: If citizens of this country do not renew their cards on time, they may have to pay a fine, new order issued
People living in the United Arab Emirates have to keep in mind that if they do not renew their cards on time, they may have to pay a fine. Services related to Emirates ID as well as foreign affairs may attract a fine.
How much will be the fine?
It has been informed that if there is any delay in registration and renewal, the accused may have to pay a fine.
The accused will be fined Dh20 per day for delay in registration and issuance of ID card. This will attract a maximum fine of Dh1,000. Misusing the system will attract a fine of Dh5,000. If the ID card is not renewed within 30 days of its expiry, a fine of Dh20 per day will be imposed which can be a maximum of Dh1,000.
Stopping work and not cooperating with the employer will attract a fine of Dh5,000. Issuing a visa or permit for an establishment that does not operate. A fine of Dh20,000 will be imposed for this.
