Actually gym, showroom and many shops are closed but liquor shops are open. Only Tamil Nadu gets a revenue of about Rs 30,000 crore every year from the sale of liquor to the state government.
Liquor shops are working to increase the corona
 
Ramdaus said that the rush to liquor shops is not the only reason for closing liquor shops. He said that due to the huge crowd at the shops in the evening, the spread of coronavirus will definitely spread the virus. Apart from this, the economic condition of the poor has deteriorated during the period of the epidemic and the alcoholics must have spent on the liquor which is at their homes.
 
Revenue of more than 30,000 crores rupees
 
The retail sale of liquor in Tamil Nadu is a state monopoly run by the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation or popularly known as Tasmak. There are more than 5,300 Tasmak liquor outlets in the state, which contribute more than Rs 30,000 crore to the state’s tax revenue.
 
The last time shops were closed for 1 month
 
When the epidemic spread last year, the state government ordered the liquor shops to be closed for more than a month. This time the government has ordered the closure of gyms, movie theaters, shopping malls, large format stores, places of worship for the public and others to prevent the virus from spreading.
