According to IMD, rain may occur at isolated places in different districts of Uttar Pradesh till May 26.

At the same time, in the country’s capital New Delhi, there are chances of getting relief from the scorching heat after 2-3 days. According to a latest IMD report, a fresh Western Disturbance is likely to make landfall over the Western Himalayas from May 23. Due to this, light rain and thundershowers may be seen over Delhi as well as West UP, Punjab, Haryana, North-West Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh in the next few days.

The Meteorological Department has predicted strong thunderstorms and rain with thunder and lightning in various areas of Uttar Pradesh from Monday to Friday, May 26. During this, the wind speed can be 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. On the other hand, the outbreak of heat wave will continue in the southern part of the state on Sunday. This change in weather will be the result of a cyclonic pressure centered over East Uttar Pradesh along with Bihar, Telangana.

Along with this, the Western Disturbance developing in North West India on May 23 will also show its effect on the weather of the state. At present, outbreak of heat wave is continuing in different areas of the state. Prayagraj and Mathura-Vrindavan were the hottest places in the state on Saturday. The day temperature in these two districts was recorded at 44.8 degree Celsius respectively. Chitrakoot recorded a day temperature of 44.2 degrees Celsius and Varanasi 43 degrees Celsius, while capital Lucknow and neighboring areas recorded a day temperature of 41 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 23.2 degree Celsius.

The national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 23.2 degrees Celsius on Saturday morning, two notches below normal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information. According to the IMD, the relative humidity in Delhi was recorded at 52 per cent at 8.30 am on Saturday. The department has expressed the possibility of the sky being mainly clear in the city during the day.

At the same time, the maximum temperature can be recorded around 41 degree Celsius. However, there is a possibility of relief from next Tuesday. Let us tell you that from May 23 to 26, a period of rain can be seen in the plains of North West India. During this, winds can also blow at high speed.

According to the report of private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, a fresh Western Disturbance is expected to knock over the Western Himalayas from May 23. Its effect will also be seen on the plains.

Due to this, light rain and thundershowers can be seen over Delhi as well as over West UP, Punjab, Haryana, North-West Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh. During this, dusty storm can happen. Light on May 23 but there are strong chances of rain on May 24. There has also been a possibility of hailstorm at some places.

Mercury crosses 40 degrees in Himachal, yellow alert issued

The scorching heat continues in Himachal Pradesh. People are suffering due to the humid heat in the plains. On Saturday, the temperature crossed 40 degrees in Una. However, the Western Disturbance will be active in the state from May 22. Due to this, the temperature will drop due to rain of clouds and the outbreak of heat will reduce.

According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, on May 23 and 24, a yellow alert has been issued for rain with lightning and winds at some places in the plains and intermediate areas. Apart from this, light snowfall may also occur in the higher mountain areas.

Director of Meteorological Center Shimla Surendra Pal told that the weather will be dry on May 21. On May 22, except the plains, there are chances of rain in the rest of the parts. On May 23 and 24, the weather will be bad in the entire state. During this, there will be a yellow alert for rain with thunder and storm. Due to this the mercury will fall and there is a possibility of getting relief from the scorching heat.

Heat wave havoc in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has directed the District Magistrates to take all necessary precautions in view of the meteorological department’s forecast of further rise in temperature by two to four degrees Celsius in the next few days amid heat wave in Tamil Nadu. In a statement issued here, Stalin said that besides ensuring the availability of ORS and other medical requirements in government hospitals, instructions have been given to the concerned authorities to provide drinking water to the cattle.
