IMD Alert: Big Update! Heavy rain alert issued in these 10 states till August 9, know the forecast of the Meteorological Department

Heavy rain warning has been issued in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Orissa including Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh. Apart from this, due to the active Western Disturbance, a significant change in the weather is going to be seen soon in the capital Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan.

Weather Update: The effect of change in the weather of the country is being seen continuously. Heavy rain warning has been issued in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, an alert has been issued warning of heavy rain in other states as well. Heavy rain has been predicted in many areas of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh even today.

According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is currently active in Jharkhand and Odisha. In such a situation, there will be clouds in the sky. Along with the drop in temperature, strong wind was also predicted. The wind will blow at a speed of 20 to 25 km. Whereas in more than 17 districts of Uttar Pradesh, a red orange alert has been issued for extremely heavy rains. Wind can blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. People have been advised to be alert by the Meteorological Department. Heavy rain activity is going to continue in Himachal Uttarakhand.

  • Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms very likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Northeast India, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, East Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Central Maharashtra, Kerala and Mahe.
  • Scattered rain and thunderstorms are very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Coastal Karnataka.
  • The maximum temperature is likely to touch above 40 degree Celsius at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

Low pressure areas forming in the Bay of Bengal

Let us inform that the low pressure areas being formed in the Bay of Bengal have been formed over Jharkhand. In such a situation, heavy rains can be seen in these areas. On the other hand, Western Disturbance has become active on the Himalayas, due to the Western Disturbance being active, once again significant changes in the weather can be seen in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Jammu Kashmir, Leh, Ladakh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan.

  • Due to these systems, warning of extremely heavy rainfall with very heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places has been issued over Madhya Pradesh on 3rd August. Due to the line moving towards northwest, forecast of extremely heavy rain has been expressed in Uttarakhand and Himachal between August 5 and 7.
  • Due to the westerly currents coming from the same Arabian Sea, heavy rains have been predicted in Konkan including Mumbai for at least the next 5 days. The weather will remain pleasant due to intermittent rains. Heavy rain warning has been issued for Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra from August 3 to August 7.

Orange alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department forecasting extremely heavy rains in 5 districts of Uttarakhand. At present, the rain activity is going to continue for 1 week. On August 5, very heavy rain has been predicted in many areas. Alert has been issued in Nainital, Champawat, Bageshwar. Apart from this, rain warning has also been issued in Udham Singh Nagar, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh today.

Heavy rain in Himachal for the whole 7 days

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are going to continue in Himachal for the whole 7 days. Orange alert has been issued in many areas of the Himalayas for the next 3 days. Warning of additional rain has been issued in 5 districts. Shimla and surrounding areas will continue to receive light sunshine till August 7. The sky will remain cloudy while a yellow alert has been issued in Chamba Kullu Una Hamirpur Kinnaur. Apart from this, heavy rain warning has been issued in Kangra Mandi, Bilaspur, Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur and Champa.

Warning of rain in some parts of Rajasthan today

A rain warning has been issued in some parts of Rajasthan today while very heavy rain has been predicted in Uttarakhand. An alert for extremely heavy rain has been issued in 10 states and union territories. Due to the active Western Disturbance, heavy rain warning has been issued in East Rajasthan including Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh till August 7.

Heavy-extremely heavy rain warning in Maharashtra and MP

Here, due to the low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, warnings of heavy to very heavy rains have been issued in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and many states of Northeast. Due to the formation of a low pressure area in Jharkhand, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Odisha, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, East and West Madhya Pradesh including East Uttar Pradesh for the next 4 days. A red alert for heavy rain has been issued in Madhya Pradesh till August 7, while an orange alert has been issued in Uttarakhand, western Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and central Maharashtra.

Light clouds in the sky in Andhra Pradesh Telangana

Light rain may be seen over Telangana, Rayalaseema, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. An increase in temperature can be seen at many places. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also issued a warning of increasing temperature in many areas of South India. The sky will be partly cloudy in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Heavy rain warning in eastern states

Talking about the eastern states, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in the northeastern region including Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram. The havoc of rain in these areas is going to continue for the time being. Along with thunder, a warning of landslide has also been issued. The maximum temperature has been forecast to be 22 while the minimum temperature will be 18 degree Celsius.
