IMD Alert: Heavy rain is going to happen in these states tonight, warning of storm has also been issued

Rain Alert: An alert has been issued for rain, thunderstorm and lightning during night time in Central Gujarat, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Northeast Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Southern Uttar Pradesh.

IMD Rain Alert: Amidst the scorching heat in North India, many states are going to receive heavy rains tonight (Wednesday). Apart from this, a warning of thunderstorm and lightning has also been issued. The Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an alert on Wednesday night and gave a list of those states where it is going to rain tonight.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be light to moderate rain in Vidarbha, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, South Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of thunderstorms. At the same time, an alert has been issued for rain, thunderstorms and lightning at night in Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Goa, Marathwada, Central Gujarat, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Northeast Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Southern Uttar Pradesh.

Heavy rains also occurred on Wednesday in many places including Dehradun in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Valsad in Gujarat, Surat, due to which the weather became pleasant. The Meteorological Department said that one centimeter of rain has occurred in Dehradun, one in Saurashtra and Kutch, five in Valsad, three in Surat, one centimeter in Kochi, Kerala. Apart from this, one centimeter of rain was recorded in Gangtok in Sikkim, four centimeters in Assam, Meghalaya, one centimeter in Shillong.

At the same time, the maximum temperature in some areas of Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, North Rajasthan, UP was recorded between 43-45 degree Celsius today. Heatwave also made people miserable in these states. Due to the scorching heat, it became difficult to go out of the house during the day. The highest temperature of 45.1 degree Celsius was recorded in Kanpur, UP. The maximum temperature in North West and East India was four to seven degrees Celsius above the average.
