Heat wave conditions are expected in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and parts of Bihar during the next 24 hours. Rain is possible in Konkan, Goa, Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Sikkim and Assam.

According to the Meteorological Center, heat wave conditions will persist in Barabanki, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Churuk, Bahraich, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Fursatganj, Basti, Jhansi, Orai, Hamirpur, Najibabad, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Agra and Aligarh.
