Rainfall Alert: The mood of the weather is constantly changing across the country. On the other hand, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned in its report released on March 14 that the effect of heat wave will remain in Odisha, Vidarbha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the next few days, while there are chances of heavy rain and snowfall in the western Himalayan region and Arunachal Pradesh.

Many states in the grip of hot winds

According to the Meteorological Department, Odisha is likely to experience severe heat from March 14 to 17, Vidarbha from March 14 to 16, Jharkhand from March 14 to 17 and Gangetic West Bengal from March 15 to 17. Apart from this, a heat wave warning has been issued in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on March 14 and 15. Temperatures have also been recorded above normal in some areas of Gujarat.

Heavy rain and snowfall in North India and Northeast

On the other hand, the western Himalayan regions may receive heavy rain and snowfall between March 14 and 16. Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad are likely to receive heavy snowfall on March 14 and 15. Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may also receive heavy rains on March 15 and 16.

The weather is also going to be bad in Northeast India. Heavy rains may occur in Arunachal Pradesh between March 14 and 18, while Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are likely to receive thunderstorms and rains during March 14 to 17. Strong winds and lightning may also occur in these areas.

Chances of light rain in Delhi-NCR

The weather is also showing signs of change in the national capital Delhi and surrounding areas. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain and strong winds with thunder on March 14. Apart from this, cloudy weather and drizzle may occur on March 15 and 16. The temperature in Delhi is expected to be between 30 to 35 degree Celsius.
