IMD Alert: Weather will change in 48 hours, chances of rain in many districts, Meteorological Department issued alert

There will be a change in the temperature during this period, but as soon as the western disturbance goes away, the minimum temperature will drop rapidly and along with the cold, cold wave will also start in many districts.

Alert Today: Before the New Year, along with severe cold, cold wave has also knocked in Madhya Pradesh. In the last 24 hours, there was a cold wave in many districts due to the rapid drop in temperature and the day was cool in many areas. At present the weather is likely to remain the same for 2-3 days. But a big change will be seen in the weather from December 22. Due to activation of Western Disturbance, there will be cloud cover and there may be rain in many districts.

How will the weather be today

According to MP Meteorological Department, the weather in all the districts of the state is expected to remain dry and clear on Wednesday and no warning has been issued anywhere for dense fog or rain. Similar weather is likely to continue till Thursday. It will be cloudy and with the drop in mercury, cold winds will also continue to blow. There will be fog in many districts in the morning. There is no weather system active right now. The wind direction remains northern.

Meteorological Department’s estimate

According to MP Meteorological Department, a new western disturbance is going to become active on December 22, due to which there will be cloudy sky in many districts and light to moderate rain is also expected at some places. Between 22-24 December, there may be light to moderate rain with cloud cover in many districts of the state including Malwa. There will be a change in the temperature during this period, but as soon as the western disturbance goes away, the minimum temperature will drop rapidly and along with the cold, cold wave will also start in many districts.

Rain record of last 24 hours

  • Cold wave prevailed in Sagar and Seoni districts. It was a cold day in Malajkhand of Khandwa, Betul and Balaghat.
  • Except for 6 districts in the state, the minimum temperature in other districts reached below 10 degrees Celsius.
  • The minimum temperature was recorded at 6 degrees Celsius in Datia, 6.5 in Umaria and 6.6 degrees Celsius in Rewa, 7.2 degrees Celsius in Jabalpur, 7.2 in Malajkhand, 10.5 in Bhopal, 7.2 in Gwalior and 12.2 degrees Celsius in Indore.
  • The maximum temperature was recorded at 17.4 degrees Celsius in Pachmarhi, 21.4 in Seoni, 20.6 in Malajkhand, 24.7 in Jabalpur, 30.5 in Gwalior, 22.8 in Indore and 22.2 degrees Celsius.
